SANDRA HEATON

Homeopathy for Mothers & Babies

My name is Sandra Heaton, and as a registered homeopath, I specialise in treating expectant mothers and their babies.

From offering safe and effective homeopathic treatments for pregnancy and childbirth, to addressing many health issues relating to young children from newborn onwards, I am here to support and guide you on this new and exciting chapter.

Pregnancy & Motherhood

Pregnancy and becoming a mother is a special and exciting time, but it can also be stressful and overwhelming for a variety of reasons. I offer support throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and finally, the all-important, post-partum recovery.

Some common issues I treat during pregnancy include: hyperemesis gravidarum, insomnia, anxiety, nausea and vomiting.  For childbirth, fear and anxiety are very common symptoms, as well as breech presentation, difficult labour and C-sections (planned or emergency). After giving birth, mothers also frequently need help in the immediate healing process, as well as for other issues which may arise soon afterwards - for example: fatigue, postnatal depression, breastfeeding, lactation and mastitis.

An initial hour-long consultation gives me the opportunity to really listen to your concerns, and whatever your symptoms, be it emotional or physical, I will match them with a uniquely individual homeopathic treatment. These consultations are also available in packages. For more information, book a call or send me an email.

Babies & The Early Years

There are a myriad of issues that children may face from birth, and though these can be quite dauting, children respond superbly to homeopathic treatment.

Many will already be familiar with the homeopathic remedies of arnica for bruising and chamomilla for teething, but other very common problems such as colic, sensitive skin, sleeplessness and clingy babies are other examples of common issues which are all very easily treated with homeopathy. I always recommend parents and guardians to have a homeopathic remedy kit for the day-today acute issues which may arise and observation is always key. For example: Do they rub their ears? Have their eating habits changed? Are they making eye contact etc.
